Minecraft

In this tutorial we will explain how you can easily customize modpacks. In our example, we will use the FTB - Infinity Evolved modpack.

Finding and downloading mods

First, you will have to search for the desired mods and download them.

In our example we would like to add the Chisels & Bits mod to the modpack. We will go to the mods.curse.com website and look for the mod.

There we choose the right mod, navigate to it and download the mod for the appropriate Minecraft version of our modpack.

Caution: If the mod doesn't support the Minecraft version required by your modpack, it is not recommended to install it.

Adding mods

It's important that you make all the changes on both the server and the client.

Server

Connect to your server via FTP. If you do not know how to use FTP, please read the following tutorial: How do I connect to my FTP server?

Once connected, navigate to the mods folder.

Then you can upload the new mod on the server. The process should look something like this:

Client

In order to be able to connect to the server afterwards, we have to do the same with the client.

To do this, navigate to the appropriate installation directory of the modpack (usually under C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming), open the mods folder and copy the desired mod into it as well.

Removing mods

It's important that you make all the changes on both the server and the client.

Server

Connect to your server via FTP. If you do not know how to use FTP, please read the following tutorial: How do I connect to my FTP server?

Once connected, navigate to the mods folder.

Then find the mod that you want to remove, right click on the file and click on delete.

Now we can upload the new version of the mod via FTP into the existing mods folder.

Then you also add the same mod that you added on the server.
