In the case of server laggs or other connection problems, g-portal.us may ask for a so-called WinMTR Log. This is used to determine the hops between the server and you and find problems between you and the server.

This article briefly explains how to create this log and which information must be given exactly for the support.

Download WinMTR and unpack it

WinMTR can be downloaded here. If you have a 64-bit operating system, the folder WinMTR_x64 must be unpacked, for all others the folder WinMTR_x32 must be unpacked.

Start WinMTR

Now just run WinMTR.exe, just simply double-click onto the file. It is recommended to run the program as an administrator because it may cause problems and it may not work properly.

In the field host (red marked in the screenshot) comes the IP of the game server. The port may not be copied entered, only the IP! After that, click on Start and that's it. WinMTR will now log the network traffic between you and the server. In addition, this should run about 5 to 10 minutes.

Send the log to the support

After the tool has run for about 5 to 10 minutes, you click on the button Stop to stop the measurement. This should look something like this (looks different in each case and may differ from time to time):

To send the results to support, simply click on Copy Text to clipboard and the text will be copied to the clipboard. Just paste this text into support request. Important is also that the source IP, which is your own IP address. Your IP can be found on this page. You can also copy and paste this into the support request as it stands here.

That's it, the WinMTR log was created and sent to the support agents. :-)
